Terry L. Mathis
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Terry L. Mathis is the CEO and Founder of ProAct Safety, and was recently named one of the 50 Most Influential EHS Leaders by EHS Today. Prior to starting the firm in 1993, he held the position of Director of Training for Coca-Cola, where he developed several new innovative approaches to safety.
He is a veteran of over 900 safety improvement projects in 29 countries and 21 languages, has spoken at ASSE, NSC, numerous company and industry conferences, and is a regular presenter at SeminarFest. He is a professional member of ASSE.
Terry Mathis has an Associates' Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication from Texas Tech University and Graduate work sponsored by Coca-Cola in Organizational Psychology, Instructional Psychology, and Organizational Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and Georgia Tech.

Shawn M. Galloway
President and Chief Operating Officer

After proudly serving in the US Army, Shawn attended the University of Houston to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Shawn began his corporate career with Fluor Daniel in the Specialty Process Engineering Division. He was responsible for designing efficiency into management of change initiatives with the use of photogrammetry. With Fluor consistently rated as one of the world's safest contractors, he was exposed to efficient & effective international safety programs early on. He quickly became an expert in reducing project cost & scheduling complications while significantly improving quality of assets without compromising safety.
After leaving Fluor in 1999 to focus on private consulting, he has worked with dozens of international organizations and hundreds of locations of varying size, industry and complexity. Before becoming President and COO of ProAct Safety, Shawn held the position of Vice President, Consulting Services. His expertise has been sought out globally to assist in integrating safety initiatives and process efficiency by focusing on Safety Culture, Operating Procedures, Incident Investigation, Management of Change, training elements of OSHA’s Process Safety Management standard and customizing new Behavior-Based Safety and Culture implementation path strategies or improving existing processes, to recognize new efficiency, and install a “Results Driven Change Philosophy.”
